Man Injured in Car and Motorcycle Collision on Izzuddin Magu

A man was injured in a collision involving a car and a motorcycle near the Food Court on Izzuddin Magu in Malé late on Wednesday night.

The collision occurred in an area that is usually busy. Images from the scene showed the motorcycle lying in the opposite lane, with debris scattered beneath the front of the car.

Police attended the scene at around 00:20. The motorcyclist is believed to have sustained head injuries and was seen bleeding from multiple areas before being taken to hospital by ambulance.

Police had not issued a statement on the incident at the time of publication.
