The Chief Executive Officer of the Malé City Group of Hospitals, Ibrahim Abdul Razzaq Haleem, has highlighted the vital role doctors play in maintaining the health system.

In a message shared on social media to mark National Doctors’ Day, Haleem extended his greetings and acknowledged the dedication of doctors despite the daily challenges they face. He described their work as a noble and humanitarian service that continues to save lives, while also recognising the sacrifices they make in giving up personal time and family life to care for patients.

He further expressed appreciation for the contribution of doctors to the growth and development of services at the Malé City Group of Hospitals, noting that efforts will continue to strengthen healthcare services.

National Doctors’ Day in the Maldives commemorates Abdulla Abdul Hakeem, the first Maldivian trained in modern medicine, marking his entry into national service on 18 April 1964.
