In a statement released this morning, the MDP announced the initiation of the candidacy process, indicating that primaries, where deemed necessary, will be held on January 26 and 27.
However, prospective candidates must file their candidacy by 4:00 pm on December 25 to qualify for participation in the primaries.
Individuals interested in contesting have been directed to complete an “expression of interest” form online via Google Forms.
Additionally, candidates are required to clear their criminal and debt records through the Department of Judicial Administration and submit the relevant documentation.
