MET Office Issues White Alert From Haa Alifu Atoll to Alif Dhaal Atoll

The Maldives Meteorological Service (MMS) has issued a White Alert for the region extending from Haa Alifu Atoll to Alif Dhaal Atoll, valid from 14:00 hrs to 18:00 hrs today.

This alert is in response to the expected occurrence of heavy rain and thunderstorms during this period. 

The MMS advises residents and visitors in the affected areas to stay vigilant and take necessary precautions.

MMS categorises weather alerts as follows:

• White alert: Alert Level 1
• Yellow advisory: Alert Level 2
• Orange warning: Alert Level 3
• Red warning: Alert Level 4
