MET Office Issues White Alert from Raa Atoll to Vaavu Atoll

The Maldives Meteorological Service (MMS) has issued a white alert for the region spanning from Raa Atoll to Vaavu Atoll.

This alert is in effect from 15:00 hours to 21:00 hours, today. The forecast warns of heavy rain and thunderstorms.
Residents and visitors in the affected areas are advised by the MMS to remain vigilant and implement appropriate safety measures.
MMS categorises weather alerts as follows:
- White alert: Alert Level 1
- Yellow advisory: Alert Level 2
- Orange warning: Alert Level 3
- Red warning: Alert Level 4
