MET Office Issues White Alert from Thaa to Fuvahmulah

​​The Maldives Meteorological Service (MMS) has issued a White Alert for the region spanning from Thaa Atoll to Fuvahmulah City.

This alert is in effect from 10:00 hours to 15:00 hours, today. The forecast warns of heavy rains and thunderstorms within the affected region.

The MMS recommends that individuals residing in or visiting the affected regions remain alert and take appropriate safety measures.

MMS categorises weather alerts as follows:

  • White alert: Alert Level 1
  • Yellow advisory: Alert Level 2

  • Red warning: Alert Level 4
