MET Office Issues White Alert to Whole Country

The Maldives Meteorological Service (MMS) has issued a white alert to the whole country.

This alert is in effect from 07:00 am to 12:00 am, today. The forecast warns of heavy rain and thunderstorms.

Residents and visitors in the affected areas are advised by the MMS to remain vigilant and implement appropriate safety measures.

MMS categorises weather alerts as follows:

• White alert: Alert Level 1
• Yellow advisory: Alert Level 2
• Orange warning: Alert Level 3
