The Ministry of Social and Family Development, in partnership with the Housing Development Corporation (HDC), will host the ‘Ufaa Festival’ at Hiyaa Park in Hulhumalé Phase 2 to mark National Children’s Day in a vibrant and family-friendly atmosphere.

Scheduled for Saturday, 10 May 2025, the event will run from 4pm to 6pm and will feature a wide range of activities including Roboman’s interactive sessions, foam parties, bouncing castles, horse rides, bull bash, obi’s shooting, bubble house, and the ‘wake a mole’ game. According to the Ministry, these activities have been selected based on popular interests among children.

Each child attending the Ufaa Festival will receive a gift, with popular characters such as Transformers and other mascots also taking part in the gift distribution. The organisers say these characters are included to enhance the celebratory spirit and engagement among children.

Later in the evening, a special outdoor movie screening dedicated to children and families will take place at Hulhumalé Phase 2 Park at 8pm. The film night is being arranged in collaboration with Ooredoo Maldives and the Ministry as part of the National Children’s Day celebrations.
