Ministry Attended to 131 Cases of Violence Against Children in November

Statistics released by the Ministry of Social and Family Development reveal that the Ministry received and attended to a total of 131 cases of violence against children in the month of November 2023, which included 67 girls and 64 boys.
This is an increase compared to the month of October 2023, which saw a total of 90 cases, which included 54 girls and 36 boys.
In November, the most commonly reported form of child abuse was sexual abuse and witness to domestic voilence, with 28 cases documented during the month.
Additionally, there were 23 cases of negligence, 20 cases of physical abuse, 15 cases of emotional abuse, five cases of others, three cases of blackmail, one case of victims of cyberbullying, one case of sexual grooming of children, one case of cyber grooming of children, and one case of exploitation.
In November 2023, the Ministry of Social and Family Development received a total of 302 reported cases concerning various issues related to child welfare and family well-being.
