The highest monthly collection was recorded in March, when MVR 23 million was received. This was followed by July, with collections amounting to MVR 12 million, and April, which recorded MVR 11 million.

The nisab, which is the minimum amount of wealth required for a Muslim to be obligated to pay property zakat, was last revised on 21 December 2025. The threshold was increased to MVR 19,527.90 from the previous level of MVR 11,191.95.

The adjustment to the nisab was made based on changes in global gold and silver prices, which are used as benchmarks in determining the minimum zakatable amount.
