MNDF Extinguishes Fire at Galolhu Building, No Injuries Reported

The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Fire and Rescue Service has extinguished a fire that broke out in a room at G. Crab Tree today.
The MNDF received information about the fire at around 12:09 PM and dispatched firefighters from Malé Fire Station to the scene.

The fire, which started in an electrical socket inside a ground-floor room, was completely extinguished by around 12:25 PM.

According to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), the room was occupied by expatriates, but police reported that no one was inside the premises when MNDF personnel arrived.
Some items inside the room were damaged in the incident, while no injuries were reported.
The NDMA said it is investigating the incident.
