MNDF Extinguishes Fire in Hiya Flat Apartment in Hulhumalé

The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has extinguished a fire that broke out in an apartment at Hiya Flat Tower 8 in Hulhumalé Phase 2.

The MNDF Fire and Rescue Service received reports of the fire at around 1:27pm today.

According to the MNDF, the fire broke out in the kitchen of an apartment on the 19th floor of the tower. Firefighters responded to the incident and extinguished the blaze.

No injuries were reported. However, the fire caused damage to the apartment’s kitchen.
