MPL Builds Toilet Block at Rasfannu Under CSR Programme

Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) has completed and handed over a new public toilet block at Maafannu Rasfannu as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.

MPL Deputy Chief Executive Officer Mohamed Mueen handed over the facility to Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development Ismail Hameed at a ceremony held at Rasfannu yesterday evening.

MPL said the project was carried out at the request of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development.

Employees of MPL’s Project Department designed the facility, while staff from the company’s Facility Department carried out the construction.

The facility includes two toilets and a shower area and was designed to provide accessibility for wheelchair users, people with disabilities and people of all ages.

MPL said supporting initiatives that improve public convenience remains a key priority under its CSR programme.
