Muizzu Will Secure Historic Second Term, Says Abdul Raheem
The Speaker of Parliament, Abdul Raheem Abdulla, has expressed confidence that President Dr Mohamed Muizzu will be the first leader of the Maldives to serve a second term.
He made the remarks during an exclusive interview with PSM News. In the interview, Speaker Abdul Raheem highlighted his deep understanding of the Maldivian political landscape, stating that he is well-informed about public sentiment across the nation.
Looking ahead, he conveyed optimism about the prospects of President Muizzu’s administration over the next four years. Acknowledging the challenges ahead, the Speaker underscored the importance of addressing obstacles and responding to criticism constructively.
He also noted that public support for President Muizzu is growing, while some political figures are losing influence due to their actions and waning political relevance. Discussing economic progress, the Speaker stated that the upcoming national budget would facilitate development projects of an unprecedented scale, marking a significant milestone in the country’s history.
