According to a gazette announcement by the Committee, applicants must be healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and other qualified healthcare workers. Applicants must also have an interest in contributing to the long-term development of the Paralympic movement in the Maldives.

Applicants are required to submit an online application along with a passport-sized photograph, copies of their Maldivian national identity card and passport, and a CV. The application deadline is 10 September 2026.

The committee said it will assist selected participants by coordinating with relevant authorities to facilitate their release from work during the workshop.

The initiative is intended to strengthen the Maldives’ capacity in para-sports classification, an important process used to determine athletes’ eligibility and group them for fair competition in Paralympic sport.
