The construction project was awarded to Rasheed Carpentry and Construction (RCC) by the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Skills Development on 12 November 2024. According to the minister, construction is scheduled to be completed on 31 December.

The eight-storey facility is expected to include modern classrooms, educational resources and other modern amenities. Academic activities at the new building are scheduled to begin in 2027.

The school’s previous building was closed after parts of the structure began to deteriorate, raising safety concerns for students and staff.

The new building is being constructed to replace the old facility and provide Arabiyya School with a modern learning environment.
