New Benefits Introduced to Assist Persons with Disabilities

MV+ News Desk | June 24, 2023

National Social Protection Agency (NSPA) has announced the implementation of new benefits aimed at providing additional support to persons with disabilities.

In order to ensure that all eligible individuals receive the necessary aid, NSPA is actively working to identify those who qualify for these allowances based on the information it has received.

To facilitate the process, individuals registered in the Register of Persons with Disabilities can now conveniently provide the required information related to these allowances through the dedicated NDR portal (ndr.nspa.gov.mv). By accessing the portal and completing the “PWD Condition Form,” eligible individuals can efficiently submit their details. Additionally, the Agency is collaborating with council agencies to help identify those who meet the criteria for receiving the allowance.

The newly identified eligible individuals will receive the June 2023 allowance, in addition to the July 2023 allowance. It is important to note that eligible beneficiaries who are already registered in the official register and currently receiving financial assistance can expect to receive these new benefits starting in June. This ensures that those who qualify will receive the necessary financial support in a timely manner.

For individuals seeking further information or clarification, NSPA has provided a dedicated hotline at 1402. The hotline operates from 08:00 to 14:00 on non-official holidays. Alternatively, individuals can also reach out via email at ndr@nspa.gov.mv.

The implementation of these new benefits highlights the commitment of the Agency to better support persons with disabilities by providing them with the necessary financial assistance. By streamlining the process and reaching out to eligible individuals, NSPA aims to ensure that those who require support receive it effectively and promptly.
