Ooredoo Maldives Introduces eSIM Support for Apple Watch and Samsung Galaxy Watch

Ooredoo Maldives has launched eSIM services for Apple Watch and Samsung Galaxy Watch devices, becoming the first telecom provider in the Maldives to offer connectivity for both smartwatch platforms.

The service allows users to stay connected without needing their smartphone nearby, enabling calls, messaging, music streaming, app access, and notifications directly from supported wearable devices.

Ooredoo said the rollout enhances flexibility for users during activities such as workouts, travel, and outdoor use, while supporting compatible Apple Watch and Samsung Galaxy Watch models.

Positioning itself as a digital innovation leader, the company said the launch is part of its broader push to build a “smarter and more connected Digital Maldives,” following earlier milestones including the introduction of 3G, 4G, and 5G services in the country.
