Parking Restrictions Implemented Around Republic Square Ahead of Swearing-in Ceremony

Vehicle parking restrictions have been imposed in the area surrounding the Republic Square in anticipation of the swearing-in ceremony for President-elect Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, scheduled to take place tomorrow.
As outlined in a notification shared by the police via a post on X, parking is expressly prohibited on Bodothakurufaanu Road, extending from the local market to Henveiru Ferry Terminal.

Additionally, parking restrictions apply to Ameer Ahmed Road situated behind Republic Square, spanning from the MMA to the Foreign Ministry.
Motorists are also advised against parking on Medhuziyaaraih Road, commencing from Fantasy Store and extending to the parking lot adjacent to Hotel Jen. Moreover, vessels are not permitted to dock in the specified area, extending from the local market to the fishermen’s park, as communicated by the police.
These parking and docking restrictions will be in effect from 6:00 pm today until 3:00 pm on Saturday, coinciding with the swearing-in ceremony scheduled for 4:00 pm on Friday.
