Committee on Economic Affairs has invited public opinion on a resolution calling on the government to revise grooming and dress codes for employees in tourist resorts and hotels.
Members of the public who wish to provide comments or suggestions must submit them by 18 February 2025 at 14:00. Submissions should be made in writing to the Committee on Economic Affairs via email at economic.affairs_committee@majlis.gov.mv or delivered to the Parliament Office.
The committee is reviewing existing regulations to remove obstacles to wearing headscarves and keeping beards in a decent manner while formulating a common grooming and dress code for employees in the tourism industry.
