He stressed the imperative for Parliament to assume direct responsibility for remedying this shortfall.

Furthermore, Aslam underscored the necessity for Parliament to devise a strategy to furnish accommodation for its workforce. He expressed intent to solicit input from employees and the Secretary-General on this issue.

During the staff night held after a twelve-year hiatus, ten staff members were honoured with silver medals, while fifty-seven received bronze medals, and thirty-four were awarded gold medals.

Aslam observed that the administrative staff of Parliament are highly skilled and proficient, having undergone diverse international training programmes. He further mentioned that the staff have seen a long-awaited 20 percent increment in their salaries, although he expressed doubts regarding whether this remuneration adequately reflects the dedication and effort exerted by the administrative staff.

Former Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
