In June, the PCB had to cancel its earlier announcement after receiving no applications from qualified candidates by the deadline.

The vacancy arises following the dismissal of Ahmed Samah Rasheed, the government-appointed CEO, by the PCB. His dismissal followed a suspension related to multiple complaints lodged with the board.
