Pedestrian Injured After Being Struck By Motorcycle In Hulhumalé

A man was injured after being struck by a motorcycle while crossing a zebra crossing in Hulhumalé Phase II on Sunday night.

According to police, the accident occurred on Hithigas Magu when a motorcycle travelling in a north-to-south direction lost control and hit a pedestrian who was crossing the road.

The incident was reported to the police at 9:26 pm.

The pedestrian, a Maldivian man, sustained multiple injuries and was taken to the Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) for treatment.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
