The data for the year reveals a fluctuating pattern in the occurrence of such cases:
- January: 15 cases
- February: 16 cases
- March: 37 cases
- April: 50 cases
- May: 26 cases
- June: 32 cases
- July: 27 cases
- August: 31 cases
- September: 22 cases
- October: 47 cases
- November: 24 cases (so far)
The incidence of drug cases has been reported to PGO, with varying numbers received from different organisations.
The breakdown of drug cases is as follows: the Police have reported 574 cases, the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority has reported 2 cases, and the Anti-Corruption Commission has reported 4 cases this year so far.
