Planning Ministry to Announce Recipients of “Binveriyaa” Scheme Today

The Ministry of Planning has announced that the list of individuals selected to receive land through the government’s “Binveriyaa” schemes will be revealed today. This comes as part of the Binveriyaa Project, and the provisional list of land recipients will be unveiled during a special press conference scheduled for 4 pm today.

Attending the press conference will be the Minister of National Planning, Housing, and Infrastructure, along with the Member of the Housing Committee. Following the conference, the list of land recipients will be officially published in the gazette.

To address the housing problem in the city, the President has made a commitment to provide land and flats to its residents. The President has pledged to allocate 5,000 plots of land to the people of the city.

A significant number of applications, totaling 35,861, were received by the application deadline for the 4,000 flats under the Landlord Scheme. These applications were open to city residents who have been living in the city for more than 15 years.

This year, a total of 3,000 plots will be allocated, with 1,000 plots in Hulhumale’ and 2,000 plots in Gulhifalhu. These allocations aim to address the pressing housing needs of the city’s residents.
