PO Takes Action Against Officials After Case Linked to Fall of Woman in Malé

The President’s Office has dismissed Izdhiyan Mohamed Maumoon, Under Secretary for Strategic Communication, and suspended Daudh Ahmed, Under Secretary for Digital Strategy, without pay.
In a series of posts on X, Presidential Spokesperson Heena Waleed first announced that Izdhiyan had been dismissed from his position earlier today. She later confirmed that Daudh had been suspended without pay.

Following his resignation, Daudh has also been removed from the “Maldives Youth Advisory Committee.”
Police confirmed Izdhiyaan Mohamed Maumoon as a person of interest in the case concerning the fall of a 21-year-old woman from a building in Malé, identified as Henveiru Fentonia. Meanwhile, Daudh is the brother of Raudh Ahmed Zilal, the main person of interest in the case.
