Police Detain Three Individuals Linked to Parliamentary Election Incidents

Police have announced the detention of three individuals in connection with incidents tied to the ongoing parliamentary elections.
Among the apprehensions, two were made in GDh. Fiyoaree.
In a statement released this afternoon, the police disclosed that the arrests were executed as part of Operation Blue Tide, a specialised police initiative launched for election security.
According to authorities, one individual was apprehended in Male’ for publicly displaying their ballot paper. Meanwhile, the remaining two were taken into custody in Fiyoaree for causing a disturbance and disrupting voting proceedings at a local polling station.
Reports indicate that there have been no further disturbances reported from any other locations at this time.
