President Announces Environmentally Friendly Biking System for all Maldivian Cities

An environmentally friendly biking system will be established in all cities of the Maldives, President Dr Mohamed Muizzu announced on World Bicycle Day.
“Bicycles are a simpler, cost-efficient and sustainable transportation alternative for greener cities. As cities become increasingly congested, it’s time to rethink our transportation systems,” wrote President Muizzu in his post today.

“In line with this vision, the government is actively engaged in developing ways to introduce environmentally friendly biking in all the cities of the Maldives,” he said.
