In a post shared on X, President Muizzu extended greetings and best wishes to all children living in the Maldives.
“Giving true love to children means teaching them about both religion and the world. It means equipping them with the capability to live as responsible individuals tomorrow. It is to never allow space for any word or action that would disrupt the innocent life of any child,” the President said.

In a separate address published on the President’s Office website, President Muizzu described Children’s Day as an opportunity to renew commitment towards protecting children’s rights and ensuring a happy environment for them.
He said children require kindness, love and guidance from adults both at home and in schools, adding that today’s children will become the future leaders of the nation.
The President stated that children should be raised as individuals of good character who understand Islamic principles and Maldivian values and traditions.
He added that providing children with proper education and upbringing is a shared responsibility of the government and society.
According to the President, the government continues efforts to ensure access to healthcare and quality education for children, while also working to provide opportunities through the school system.
He also identified the protection of children from various forms of abuse and the establishment of a safe environment as among the state’s highest priorities.
President Muizzu further warned of growing dangers facing children online, saying modern digital tools used for education and entertainment have exposed some children to serious and irreversible risks.
He called on teachers, parents and the wider community to work together to build a healthy future generation.
Concluding his message, the President expressed hope that all children in the Maldives would grow up healthy, happy and successful, and contribute fully to the country’s future development and progress.
