President Dr Mohamed Muizzu Appoints Two New Members to JSC

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Uz Ahmed Usham and Uz Mohamed Sameer as members of the Judicial Services Commission (JSC). The announcement took place during an afternoon ceremony at the President’s Office.
The appointments were presented during the ceremony under Article 158 (i) and Article 158 (h) of the Maldivian Constitution. Uz Usham and Uz Sameer, in the presence of the President, took their oaths, administered by Supreme Court Judge Uza Aisha Shujoon Mohamed.
Uz Ahmed Usham brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having previously served as the representative of the Villimale’ constituency in the Parliament and as the Deputy Attorney General. His appointment is firmly grounded in his extensive legal background.
Uz Mohamed Sameer, previously a Public Prosecutor at the Prosecutor General’s Office and Managing Partner at Sameer & Shamam LLP, received his Letter of Appointment from President Dr Muizzu.
