President Expresses Condolences to Dubai Ruler Following His Brother’s Passing

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has conveyed his condolences to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, following the death of his brother, Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

In an official message sent yesterday, President Muizzu expressed sympathies on behalf of the Government and the people of the Maldives to the UAE Ruler, the Royal Family, and the citizens of the United Arab Emirates.

Recognising Sheikh Ahmed’s career, President Muizzu highlighted his contributions to public service, national security, sports, and civil development. He noted Sheikh Ahmed’s longstanding commitment to advancing the progress and prosperity of Dubai throughout his life.

The President concluded his tribute by offering prayers for the late Sheikh, asking Almighty Allah to grant him eternal peace and mercy, while wishing strength and solace to the Royal Family and the Emirati public during their time of mourning.
