President Inaugurates Development Projects in Meemu Atoll

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih inaugurated the completion of several developmental projects yesterday in Meemu atoll, which included a new wing of M. Dhiggaru Health Centre, a new powerhouse on M. Raiymandhoo Island, and a new wing of M. Mulah Health Centre.

The New Wing of M. Dhiggaru Health Centre

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih officially inaugurated the extension building for the healthcare centre on Dhiggaru Island in Meemu Atoll as part of his ongoing visit to the Atoll.

The new wing of the healthcare centre has a public health unit that offers preventive and promotive health services, an administrative space that manages and coordinates the healthcare staff, and a medical store that ensures the availability and quality of essential medicines and supplies.

The new wing would address the challenges of delivering efficient and effective healthcare services to the locals and neighbouring islands. After inaugurating the extension building, President Solih visited the new facility and checked the various sections and equipment.

President Solih’s administration has achieved remarkable milestones in fostering equitable development across all inhabited islands in the country. This includes enhancing the living conditions of citizens and empowering them to live dignified lives.

The New Powerhouse on M. Raiymandhoo Island

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih officially inaugurated the newly developed powerhouse on M. Raiymandhoo Island in Meemu Atoll as part of his visit to the island. The new powerhouse will provide residents with a reliable and efficient electricity supply.

The new powerhouse, situated away from the residential area, has sufficient space for extra services and eliminates the problems caused by the old powerhouse in the residential area. The power plant has three generator sets with a combined capacity of 480 KW.

President Solih’s administration has advanced equitable development across all inhabited islands. This includes enhancing the living conditions and dignity of citizens.

The New Wing of M. Mulah Health Centre

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih inaugurated the new extension building of the Mulah Health Centre in Meemu Atoll during his visit to the island. The new wing will provide improved facilities and services for the residents of Mulah and nearby islands.

After the opening ceremony, President Solih toured the new wing and inquired about the operations and challenges of the Health Centre. The new facility comprises a public health unit, a conference hall, administrative spaces, and a medical store.
