Road Accidents Reported in Fuvahmulah and Hithadhoo

Dangerous accidents took place yesterday in both Fuvahmulah and Hithadhoo, Addu City.
In Fuvahmulah, a man standing near motorcycles parked by the roadside was struck by a car that lost control at around 6:16 pm. Although the vehicle was not speeding, the impact caused four parked motorcycles to fall.

The man was caught between two of the motorcycles, was thrown onto the car’s bonnet, and then fell to the ground beyond it. The car slowed down, and the man was seen attempting to get up and walk away. Details about any injuries sustained have not been disclosed.
In Hithadhoo, an accident occurred at 7:30 pm involving an elderly man crossing a zebra crossing and a speeding motorcycle. The collision caused both the pedestrian and the motorcyclist to fall. Police have confirmed that neither party sustained serious injuries.
