The Economic Ministry has proposed amendments to the Copyrights Act and other relevant legislation. This initiative aims to empower businesses to maximise the value of their intellectual assets and enhance investor trust in the country’s business environment.

Furthermore, the Economic Ministry is actively working towards presenting the Trademark Bill to Parliament within the current year.

The Ministry is also in the process of formulating a Patent Bill and legislation pertaining to geographical indications.

Additionally, plans are underway to establish a collective management organization to distribute royalties to individuals engaged in literary and artistic endeavours.
