SIFCO Wins Ooredoo Masrace Championship in K. Himmafushi

Team SIFCO won the MVR 25,000 prize at the Ooredoo Masrace 2024 with 999.35 points in K. Himmafushi, the first segment of the annual fishing tournament by Ooredoo Maldives.

A number of special awards were given out to the winning teams and fishermen after a day of competitive fishing among the teams.

• Champion Team: SIFCO with 999.35 points
• 2nd Place: Goalhians Sports Club with 807.85 Points
• 3rd Place: Detune Fishing with 608.1 Points
• Heaviest Catch: Hussain Naeem (Masterclass) Faana of 37.7 kg
• Best Fisherman:  Hassan Azzam, Goalhians Sports Club with 25 Fish
• Best Fisherwoman: Fathmath Fezleen, Detune Fishing with 17 Fish

This year, as part of Ooredoo Maldives’ 19th Anniversary celebration, Masrace 2024 will be held in 3 locations: K. Himmafushi, Lh. Naifaru and GDh. Thinadhoo.
