Solih Appoints Nashath as Newest ECM Member

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih appointed Ali Nashath as a new member of the Elections Commission of the Maldives (ECM), today.
The official letter of appointment was presented to Ali Nashath during a ceremony held at the President’s Office this morning.

The appointment of Ali Nashath is in accordance with Articles 167(a) and 168(b) of the Maldivian Constitution, along with the stipulations outlined in section 4(a) of the “Elections Commission Act” (No. 8/2008).
Prior to receiving the letter of appointment, Ali Nashath took the oath of office administered by Supreme Court Judge Dr. Azmiralda Zahir, in the presence of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
