Two Arrested in Joint Police Operation With Over 1kg of Drugs Recovered
Police identified the suspects as Mohamed Umair, 58, of G. Moonlightview, Malé, and Maasha Ibrahim, 38, of Gul-alaage, L. Dhanbidhoo.
Two individuals have been arrested in Malé after police recovered more than one kilogram of illicit drugs during a joint operation by the Drug Enforcement Department and Counter Narcotics Intelligence.
The two suspects were arrested on suspicion of drug use, possession and trafficking during an operation conducted on 23 June under a court order.

Police identified the suspects as Mohamed Umair, 58, of G. Moonlightview, Malé, and Maasha Ibrahim, 38, of Gul-alaage, L. Dhanbidhoo.
Following their arrests, police searched an apartment in Malé and discovered more than one kilogram of drugs along with a large amount of money.
Both individuals were presented before the court to determine their remand status and were ordered to remain in custody for 15 days in connection with the case.
