UAE Cyber Security Chief Explores Collaborative Opportunities with Maldives Police

The Head of the Cyber Security Council of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Dr. Mohammed Al-Kuwaiti, and the Commissioner of Police of the Maldives, Ali Shujau, have engaged in discussions aimed at strengthening collaboration in the realm of cyber security.

The Ministry of Homeland Security and Technology of the Maldives announced that these discussions took place during a meeting with a high-level UAE delegation. The meeting focused on enhancing cyber security cooperation between the two nations, with the Maldives expressing its gratitude to the Emirati government for its support in bolstering the operational capacity of the Maldives Police Service (MPS). The Maldives also extended its thanks to Dr. Al-Kuwaiti for his continued efforts in advancing these initiatives.

Dr. Al-Kuwaiti’s visit to the Maldives included meetings with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and other key officials. During these discussions, he emphasised the strong bilateral ties between the UAE and the Maldives and explored further collaborative opportunities in cyber security. 

The meetings also addressed ongoing progress, challenges in the field, and the critical importance of joint efforts to ensure a secure cyber environment.
