The equipment was handed over during a ceremony held at Iskandharu Building, where Commissioner of Police Ahmed Mohamed accepted the donation on behalf of the Maldives Police Service.
The kits were presented by Enrico Boninsegna and Mihyar Al Nifeidi of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), representing the US Department of State’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs. The ceremony was attended by senior officers of the Maldives Police Service and officials from the UNODC.
During the ceremony, Commissioner Ahmed Mohamed expressed appreciation to the US Department of State’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs and the UNODC for their continued support to the Maldives Police Service.
