Villa College has extended the application deadline for its January 2026 intake to 24 January, providing additional time for A-Level graduates to apply for higher education programmes.

The extension applies to applications across more than 100 programmes offered by the college, ranging from Certificate Level 4 to Master’s degrees. The intake targets students seeking to transition directly into further studies following the release of A-Level results.

According to the college, teaching and orientation sessions for Master’s programmes will begin on Saturday, 24 January 2026, while degree and foundation programmes will commence on Sunday, 25 January 2026.

The January intake includes programmes in fields such as information technology, engineering, education, business, accounting and finance, health sciences, law, tourism and hospitality, aviation management, psychology, mass communication, interior architecture, and culinary arts, among others.

Villa College also offers internationally recognised degree programmes delivered in the Maldives through partnerships with overseas universities, including the University of the West of England and the University of Portsmouth in the United Kingdom, as well as the University of Cyberjaya and Taylor’s University in Malaysia. Engineering students enrolled in University of Portsmouth-affiliated programmes may complete their final years of study in the UK.

Under the college’s entry requirements, applicants to degree programmes must have passed at least two A-Level subjects or hold an equivalent qualification. Students who do not meet degree entry criteria may enrol in foundation programmes if they have passed at least three O-Level subjects.

Villa College noted that it remains the only Maldivian institution featured in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025 and holds international recognition through the QS Stars rating system. Its programmes are accredited by regulatory bodies including the Maldives Qualifications Authority, the Bar Council of the Maldives, and the Allied Health Council.

The college said most programmes, with the exception of Engineering, Teaching, Nursing and Pharmacy, are available through online delivery, allowing flexibility for students balancing work or family commitments.
