Vice President Faisal Naseem recently conducted an inspection of the ongoing construction work at Dharumavantha School in Male’ City and Salahuddin School in Hulhumale’. Accompanied by Minister of Education Dr. Aishath Ali and officials from the education ministry and utility companies, Vice President Naseem assessed the progress of the fieldwork and examined the facilities and teaching arrangements at both school sites.

The construction of the new building for Dharumavantha School has been entrusted to SJ Construction Private Limited, while Amin Construction has been tasked with building Salahuddin School. Once completed, these educational institutions will be capable of accommodating up to 1,000 students each and are scheduled to be inaugurated for the upcoming academic year.

Dharumavantha School is being developed as the first school in the country to embrace the concept of holistic education. The facility will comprise 41 classrooms, each with a capacity of 25 students. Additionally, the school will feature a two-story library and offer amenities for sports and other extracurricular activities, further enhancing the educational experience for its students.

On the other hand, Salahuddin School will be the inaugural educational institution in Hulhumale’ Phase II. It will span six floors and accommodate approximately 1,000 to 1,200 students, catering to the growing population in the area.

These initiatives demonstrate the government’s commitment to improving the quality of education in the Maldives and ensuring that students have access to modern facilities that promote a well-rounded learning experience. The Vice President’s visit and the progress made by the construction companies indicate a positive outlook for the timely completion of these schools, providing enhanced educational opportunities to students in Male’ City and Hulhumale’.
