White Alert Issued Across Northern and Central Maldives: Heavy Rain and Thunderstorms Forecast

The Maldives Meteorological Service (MMS) has issued a white alert for the Northern and Central Atolls.
These alerts are in effect from 10:45 hours to 16:30 hours today.

The forecasts warn of heavy rain and thunderstorms, with gusts of up to 40mph expected.
Residents and visitors in the affected areas are advised by the MMS to remain vigilant and implement appropriate safety measures.
MMS categorises weather alerts as follows:
White alert: Alert Level 1
Yellow advisory: Alert Level 2
Orange warning: Alert Level 3
Red warning: Alert Level 4
