White Alert Issued Across Northern Atolls: Heavy Rains and Thunderstorms Expected

The Maldives Meteorological Service (MMS) has issued white alerts from Haa Alifu Atoll to Lhaviyani Atoll, warning of heavy rain.
These alerts are in effect from 11:30 hours to 17:30 hours today.

The forecast warns of heavy rain and thunderstorms. Met Office also warned that rough seas are to be expected.
Residents and visitors in the affected areas are advised by the MMS to remain vigilant and implement appropriate safety measures.
MMS categorises weather alerts as follows:
- White alert: Alert Level 1
- Yellow advisory: Alert Level 2
- Orange warning: Alert Level 3
- Red warning: Alert Level 4
