Worker Found Dead at Thilamale’ Project Site

A worker employed by India’s Afcons Infrastructure for the Thilamale’ Project has been found dead with visible injuries today.

The police have identified the deceased as an employee of Afcons, the company contracted to construct a bridge between Male’ and Vilimale’.

The body was found at the project site in the early hours of today and was subsequently transported to Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH). The individual was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital. 

Authorities have confirmed that an investigation into the incident is underway.
