Yazmeed Mohamed Assumes Office as Pension Office CEO

Yazmeed Mohamed has assumed office as Chief Executive Officer of the Maldives Pension Administration Office, setting out fund security, sustainable management and public confidence as key priorities for his tenure.

Following a welcome ceremony attended by employees, Yazmeed outlined plans to manage and safeguard the pension fund sustainably while improving the organisation of the institution’s operations.

He also identified modernisation, productivity and institutional reliability as areas of focus, with the aim of developing the Pension Office into an organisation that commands public trust.

Workplace development will form part of the new CEO’s approach. Yazmeed committed to promoting equality among employees, providing fair opportunities and creating a supportive environment in which staff can work together effectively.

He also called on employees to carry out their responsibilities with sincerity and integrity while working collectively to deliver results.

The Maldives Pension Administration Office is an independent statutory body established under the Maldives Pension Act. It administers the country’s pension schemes, including the Retirement Pension and Old-Age Basic Pension, and is responsible for developing relevant regulations and supporting sustainable social protection.
