Youth Ministry Signs Three Agreements to Develop Football Stadiums

Contractors have been awarded projects to set up sports facilities in three islands, as the Youth Ministry aims to enhance recreational opportunities in the Maldives.

The signing ceremony, held at the Youth Ministry yesterday, marked the formal agreements for the supply and installation of turf at Huraa Football Stadium and Hinmafushi Football Stadium, as well as the preparation of the subbase for Kihaadhoo Football Stadium.

Taking charge of the construction for both Huraa Football Stadium and Hinmafushi Football Stadium is Three Tree Maldives. The awarded contract comes with a total cost of MVR 4,792,455.72, and the completion date for both stadiums is set at 70 days. 

Deputy Minister Ahmed Mohamed represented the Youth Ministry during the signing, while Mohamed Nashfan, the Project Manager from Three Tree Maldives, signed on behalf of the company.

Meanwhile, the contract for the construction of Kihaadhoo Football Stadium has been entrusted to OTEX Pvt Ltd. The project, scheduled for completion within 45 days, has been assigned a budget of MVR 2,850,891.24. Ahmed Yaafiu Hassan Habeeb, Director of OTEX Pvt Ltd, officially signed the agreement on behalf of the company.
