Youth Ministry to Hold Public Forum Under ‘Zuvaanunge Holhuashi’ Programme

The Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Information and Arts has announced plans to hold a public forum on 30 June as part of its ‘Zuvaanunge Holhuashi’ programme. 

The forum will focus on youth political participation and address the challenge of unemployment among young people. Scheduled to take place at the Maldives Centre for Social Education, the event will run from 8:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

‘Zuvaanunge Holhuashi’ is regarded as a flagship initiative of the ministry, designed to create a platform for teenagers and young adults to discuss issues relevant to their development. The series of forums aims to expand access to vital services and encourage wider opportunities for young people across the Maldives.

The upcoming session will highlight the importance of civic awareness and encourage greater youth involvement in political processes. In addition to political engagement, the forum will address broader socio-economic issues, with youth unemployment identified as a significant area of concern.
