Zakat House Announces Highest-Ever Nisab Level at MVR 21,836.50

Maldives Zakat House (MZH) has raised the Zakat Nisab for Zakat al-Mal to MVR 21,836.50, marking the highest threshold recorded in the Maldives to date.
MZH said the calculation is based on 595 grams of silver at a rate of MVR 36.70 per gram. The Zakat House noted that the revised figure reflects the price of silver as of 21 April.
In December last year, MZH set the Nisab at MVR 19,527.90, marking a previous increase. The latest revision represents the third adjustment within a year, in line with fluctuations in global silver prices.
Maldives Zakat House (MZH) has increased the Zakat Nisab for Zakat al-Mal, or property Zakat, for a third time this year, to MVR 21,836.50.
The Zakat House said the calculation is based on 595 grams of silver at a rate of MVR 36.70 per gram. It is the highest Nisab amount recorded in the Maldives to date.
Last December, MZH increased the nisaab to MVR 19,527.90, the third increase in the year.
