Zakat House Launches Four Publications at Financial Expo 2026

The Maldives Zakat House launched four publications on Zakat during the opening of the Maldives Financial Expo 2026 today, organised by the Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) at Hulhumalé Central Park.
The books launched are Zakaathaai Aqeedah, Zakaathaai Sadhagaaiy Dhinumaamedhu Baarualhuvaafaivaa Minnvaru, Zakaathaai Sadhagaaiydhinumaagulhey Adhabuthakaai Sadhagaaiydheeulhey Meehunnge Sifathah, and Zakaathuge Hukumthakuge Khulaasaa.
The Financial Expo 2026 was officially inaugurated by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, who also visited the Zakat House stall during the event. Director General of the Maldives Zakat House, Sheikh Imthithou Abbas, presented the President with copies of the four publications, along with Dhivehi and English editions of Shari’ah Principles and Standards for the Collection and Distribution of Zakat.
The Expo runs from 2 to 4 July at Central Park, Hulhumalé, and is open to the public daily from 3pm to 10pm.
At the Zakat House stall, visitors can take part in Zakat Q&A sessions with scholars, access information on services and initiatives, and learn about the ongoing Zakat Scholarship programme, with application forms available on site.
The stall also features a quiz programme offering daily cash prizes, with all participants entered into a grand prize draw at the end of the Expo. Free educational books and leaflets on Zakat are also being distributed.
