Mary Green Maldives creates unique pieces inspired by the Maldivian culture. "Thaveed" was originally used by Maldivians to wear as a spiritual magical spell sealed in a cylindrical container. Now Mary Green is bringing back the Thaveed as a "Symbol of Love" in a modernized version of a necklace or bracelet.

"Running a local brand in the Maldives is quite challenging, I would say as it may take some time for us to gain more exposure and make our name well known out there. We hope the government would have more local business expos where new local brands like us would gain more exposure and be able to connect with other creatives as well." Mariyam said.

Speaking on future, founder Mariyam said that there are plans to create more pieces of jewelry inspired by the Maldivian Culture that embodies the changing of the times. She says that more surprises are also lined up for the future of the brand.
